Caroline’s Tea will be presented by the Gettysburg Foundation on Saturday, Aug. 25, on the tented lawn at the Historic Rupp House in downtown Gettysburg from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public is invited to spend the mid-day enjoying a high tea lunch of seasonal tea sandwiches, savories, scones and gourmet desserts along with an array of artesian hot and iced teas. The Rupp House is directly opposite The Brickhouse Inn B&B in Baltimore Street.
Cindy Small, author of“The Jennie Wade Story: A True and Complete Account of the only Civilian Killed During the Battle of Gettysburg,” will be recounting the story of Jennie Wade, the Gettysburg woman who was shot during the battle in 1863. Her books will be available for purchase, and Small will be on-hand for a book-signing following the program.
Tickets are available by phone at (877) 874-2478, at the Historic Rupp House at 451 Baltimore St. or at the ticket counter at Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center. For more information, call (877) 874-2478 or visit www.gettysburgfoundation.org.
